The Reeds Are Just Different

Every year people hang out for the Reeds.

They’re just different.

Rich, creamy and delicious. They are the size of Emu eggs and they just taste different.

So why are they so good? Why don’t you find them in the supermarkets?

Well, bascially - you can’t grow a good Reed everywhere in Australia.

Avocados are a tropical fruit so they’re mostly grown in QLD, but they also have a lot of pest and disease in those areas and a shorter growing season.

Because of our colder climate we have a longer growing season which allows the Reeds to really develop that gorgeous rich flavour.

The supermarkets don’t really like the Reed because they are so big and they’re also a green skin which means they don’t go dark when ripe so it’s not as easy for someone to tell when they’re ripe.

So you won’t really see them in the supermarkets.

And it’s why you are getting something extra special when you buy the Reeds directly from us!

We are so thrilled to be able to send them to you in time for Christmas again this year with Australia Post!!!!

Which means we can get them to so many more places and we’re so excited!!!

We can not wait to get you Reeds for Christmas.
